Faculty of Fishing Web Design

March 2nd, 2010

The Faculty of Fishing has been my largest project to date, spanning 18+ pages, each with a unique layout.

The site integrates flash, streaming video, javascript, php and asp seamlessly, and is fully cross-browser compatible.

The inspiration for this project was my CORE redesign, but the project has evolved significantly from that initial concept, and now includes content management and seemless integration with the client’s learning management system.

CORE Training & Therapy Redesign

March 2nd, 2010

CORE had a simple design, and as a challenge, I wanted to create a dynamic piece that merged 3D animation, Flash, and standard HTML code, to create a site that felt friendly and alive, without making the site entirely flash based.

I also tried to create a piece that was entirely unique.

FILMS: Learning Management System

March 2nd, 2010

For my major first term project in college, I developed a complete learning management system from scratch.  This system has a simple, but entirely customizable appearance, and a complete administration panel with detailed reporting.  I also implemented a number of security features and a fully operational online store in order to make the product a one-stop shop for everything a client might need.

Faculty of Flight Logo

March 1st, 2010

The client needed a logo that matched current logo designs for his other products, but would still hold it’s own as a unique and original piece.

This logo hasn’t changed much from my original concept work, and the client was very happy with the final result.

Project Tracker Pro Logo

March 1st, 2010

My client wanted a new look for his Time Management system.  The old system was specifically branded, he wanted something that would not be tied to any of his current projects.  I developed new a new logo, a fresh look and created a new name that would provide him with that universal feel for his system.

Internet Explorer Street Art

March 1st, 2010

Two posters developed for public display, taking iconic symbols for Internet Explorer and twisting them to emphasize the “Friends don’t let friends use Internet Explorer” message.

As a web developer, Internet Explorer issues have made development much harder than it should be.   designed the two posters to be “tiled” on a wall, with the large icon attracting attention, and the error message box conveying providing a more detailed explanation of the issue.

It really is amazing just how many people still use ie.  I suppose it’s more convenient.

Napoleon and Yoshi

March 1st, 2010

An illustration challenge, to create a natural blend of two character types that would never be together naturally.  I went with a different retro style than I traditionally have done, and produced a really fun piece!

Mates of State Poster

March 1st, 2010

Band Poster Design.  I went for a retro 60’s/80’s feel to reflect the band’s music (80’s electronic) and lyrical style (60’s feel good).

This poster has a psychedelic feel, with hand rendered typography, and high energy that reflects the bubbly pop that Mates of State is famous for.
